Welcome to MadsOnline.net! Our goal is to provide Mads fans with as much information as we can without them having to spend hours scouring the 'net.

While Mads Mikkelsen is well known in his native Denmark, most of the world is just now discovering him after his portrayal of Le Chiffre in the latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale. I first discovered him in the 2004 production of King Arthur, in which he played Tristan, the lone scout with the deadly aim. From there I made it a point to find out more and was increasingly impressed with each new Mads role.

So my friends and I have decided to dedicate this site to the gifted Mr. Mikkelsen and share our admiration with fellow fans who appreciate his talents as much as we do. (And maybe pull a few more into the Madsness while we're at it!)

7/3/08 ~

As some of you have noticed, the MAMM forum is down. It is a host issue, the other forums I have hosted with them are down as well, as is their support forum. I have finally found an email address for them and I'm waiting for a reply. I will let you know what I find out. My apologies to all the forum members...hopefully they will have things up and running soon.

7/1/08 ~

Well, it has been a bit quiet for the last month, but we have some exciting news -

• First of all, you may have noticed the little award button at the left. MadsOnline.net has been chosen as the Celebrity Site of the Day by Celebrity Links and will be the featured site on July 15, 2008.

• Even more exciting than that, is the fact that filming has begun on Valhalla Rising! This film has been a long time coming and I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to happen. But we have been informed that Mads and crew are braving the elements in the Scottish Highlands and this film is finally being made. Which leads me to the next bit of news...

• Staff member Jacqui has been in contact with Johnny, an extra in Valhalla Rising, and he has agreed to keep us updated and given his permission to post the news here. You can find his first report on our new Valhalla Rising ~ On Set page.

• New interview with Mads during his filming of Past Perfect (Die Tuer/The Door) in Germany on the News & Interviews page.

5/25/08 ~

• New photos of Mads during his filming of Past Perfect (Die Tuer/The Door) in Berlin have been added to the Gallery's Candids section.

5/20/08 ~

Sorry for the lack of updates! It's been a bit slow on Mads news...but he has finished filming Past Perfect (Die Tuer/The Door) in Germany and word has it is finally about to begin the long talked about Valhalla Rising.

• Finally got the Links page up. Lots of Mads related links...if you have one you'd like to add just let me know.
• Added new pages to the Filmography page for I Am Dina and Bleeder. Should have more movie pages added soon!

4/10/08 ~

• A little more info on Past Perfect currently filming in Germany on the News & Interviews page.
• Also pictures from Mads' appearance at The Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game and Film Convention in Malmö, Sweden added.

4/9/08 ~

• A couple new items added to the News & Interviews page!
• New photos added to the Gallery - new section for Past Perfect, new magazine photos

4/3/08 ~

• More fan-made videos have been added to the Multimedia page video pod. I've also added a new video strip of Mads in commercials and music videos for charity from Danish television.
• A brief biography has been added to the About Mads page.

I also want to thank everyone for the great comments in the Guestbook! I hope to keep updating regularly!

3/28/08 ~

• Flame & Citron (Flammen og Citronen) premiere Tuesday, March 25 - pics and video on the News & Interviews page!
• Adding new pages to the Filmography page for each movie - added Torremolinos 73 and Angel of the Night.

3/23/08 ~

• The Gallery is up! Lots of photos and screencaps to browse. I'll be adding more as I sort through my files.
• New videos added to the Multimedia page video pod.
• Mads' new movie Flame & Citron (Flammen og Citronen) is set to premiere in Denmark on March 28th. Expect news and photos from that. If there are any Danish friends out there, we would love a review!
